Theophilus London - Live at HARD Summer LA

You know something is up, when a slim guy from Brooklyn, who draws as much from new wave as it does from hip hop, that is as deeply involved with poetry as it is with soul, gets invited over by Mark Ronson and is celebrated as the new king of pop by Whitney Houston. His second sign of life in the grander scheme of things, 'This Charming Mixtape' was an oddball success, leaving the puzzled press to pick up the pieces and name him a black Morrissey but none of that is what makes people stand in line for his shows. His inspired productions and lyrical wit may have him stick out of the crowd already, but he's an all around entertainer as well, and it's too bad that you can't see the dance moves with this show recorded live at HARD Summer 2010 in Los Angeles.
